Το τμήμα συντήρησης επιμελήθηκε τα δελτία κατάστασης των αντικειμένων για την έκθεση, Relics of the Past Treasures of the Greek Orthodox Church and the Population Exchange: From the Benaki Museum Collections (Κειμήλια από το παρελθόν : Θησαυροί της ελληνορθόδοξης Εκκλησίας και η Ανταλλαγή των πληθυσμών), που πραγματοποιήθηκε στη Γενεύη. Επίσης ομάδα συντηρητών συνόδευσε τα αντικείμενα στην από την Ελλάδα στην Ελβετία και έκανε το στήσιμο της έκθεσης. Η έκθεση εγκαινιάζει τη λειτουργία του «Μουσείου Χριστιανικής Τέχνης» στο Ορθόδοξο Κέντρο του Οικουμενικού Πατριαρχείου στο Chambésy Γενεύης, παρουσιάζοντας τα κειμήλια που έφεραν οι πρόσφυγες στην Ελλάδα μετά την ανταλλαγή των πληθυσμών.

The convention signed by Greece and Turkey in 1923, mandating the exchange of Christian and Muslim populations, provided for the transference of movable communal property by the members of both communities. In the case of the Greek-Christian populations of Asia Minor (Anatolia), the Pontos (Black Sea) and Eastern Thrace, their communal property consisted of the ecclesiastical silverware, embroidery, icons, liturgical manuscripts and books, which comprised the contents of the sacristies in their churches and monasteries.
The 90 liturgical objects, icons and vestments displayed in this exhibition originate in areas where medieval and later Greek culture flourished. Their provenance and inscribed dedications indicate the historical course of the Christian populations in the Ottoman empire setting them within the administrative and political framework which enabled them to thrive, and highlight their regional characteristics.

A team of conservators prepared the loan for travelling, filed condition reports, supervised packing and travelled with the objects to Geneva, ensuring correct handling and installation of the artefacts in the exhibition halls.
