Το Εργαστήριο Συντήρησης Ζωγραφικών Έργων συμμετείχε στο συνέδριο «Works of Art: Conservation Science Today» που διοργανώθηκε στη Θεσσαλονίκη από το Αριστοτέλειο Πανεπιστήμιο Θεσσαλονίκης και την Ανώτατη Εκκλησιαστική Ακαδημία της Θεσσαλονίκης με τις εξής παρουσιάσεις:

Οι Ελένη Βερόνικα Φαρμακαλίδου, Δημήτρης Λαμπάκης και Ιωάννης Καραπαναγιώτης, με ανακοίνωση τοίχου με θέμα, Multi-analytical Investigation of Icons from the Cretan School.

Οι Βίκυ Κανταρέλου, Καλυψώ Μιλάνου, Χρύσα Βουρβοπούλου, Λένα Βρανοπούλου, Αλεξάνδρα Καλλιγά με ομιλία με θέμα Combined non-destructive analysis on two icons attributed to the 15th century painter Angelos.

Οι Στέργιος Στασινόπουλος και Ελένη-Βερόνικα Φαρμακαλίδου με ομιλία με θέμα, The methodology of the conservation of icons and paintings on wooden panel support: case treatment studies in the Conservation Laboratory of the Benaki Museum.

Analysis and documentation of The Baptism by Domenicos Theotokopoulos using non-destructive physicochemical techniques II. A first comparison with The Adoration of the Magi from the Benaki Museum.

Στο διεθνές συνέδριο του ICOM για τον τομέα των εικόνων παρουσιάστηκαν συνδυαστικά τα αποτελέσματα από τις μη-καταστρεπτικές αναλυτικές τεχνικές που πραγματοποιήθηκαν σε δύο έργα του Δομήνικου Θεοτοκόπουλου. Για τις αναλύσεις συνεργάστηκαν επιστήμονες από το Ε.Κ.Ε.Φ.Ε. Δημόκριτος, το Ε.Ι.Ε., τη Θετις Authentics, το Ι.Τ.Ε., και το Μουσείο Μπενάκη.
