Η εικόνα (αρ. ευρ. 46165) που προέρχεται από τα Επτάνησα και χρονολογείται γύρω στο 1700, είχε διαχωριστεί σε δύο μέρη με αποτέλεσμα να έχουν χαθεί σημαντικά τμήματα ζωγραφικής. Κατά τη συντήρηση στερεώθηκε η προετοιμασία, ενώθηκε ο ξύλινος φορέας, αποκαταστάθηκε η φυσική του καμπυλότητα και απομακρύνθηκε το οξειδωμένο βερνίκι, αποκαλύπτοντας την όμορφα κοσμημένη εσωτερική πλευρά του μαφορίου. Έγινε εκτεταμένη συμπλήρωση κατά μήκος της ρωγμής και αισθητική αποκατάσταση ενός τόνου.
Η εικόνα παρουσιάζεται στην έκθεση Ένας συλλέκτης στην Αθήνα του 20ου αιώνα: Η δωρεά Βαλαδώρου στο Μουσείο Μπενάκη, από 12/11/15 έως 24/01/16 στο κεντρικό κτήριο.

The icon (inv. no 46165) from the Ionian Islands, dating ca. 1700, was broken in two and had suffered severe losses of ground and paint film.
The conservation treatment included consolidation, the joining and restoration of the natural curve of the wooden panel and the removal of the old varnish coating which completely hid the beautifully ornamented inner side of the maforion. Losses along the vertical break were filled in and restored with single tone retouching.
The icon is temporarily displayed in the exhibition Collecting Art in 20th – Century Athens: The Valadoros Collection at the Benaki Museum from 12/11/15 to 24/01/16, main building.
