Η επιτυχημένη έκθεση Wolf Suschitzky: Ταξίδι στην Ελλάδα του ‘60, που πραγματοποιήθηκε στο Μουσείο Μπενάκη, συνέχισε την πορεία της στη Σκίαθο, στην Ιερά Κοινοβιακή Μονή Ευαγγελισμού της Θεοτόκου, όπου θα φιλοξενηθεί μέχρι τα τέλη Σεπτεμβρίου.

The successful exhibition Wolf Suschitzky: Travel to Greece of 60, which was held at the Benaki Museum, was reinstalled in the Holy Cenobitic Monastery of the Annunciation in the island of Skiathos, where it will remain displayed until the end of September.

Σχεδιασμός και ανάρτηση των έργων της έκθεσης, Ταξίδι στην Ελλάδα του ‘60. Η έκθεση επιχειρεί να παρουσιάσει, για πρώτη φορά στο ελληνικό κοινό, τον σημαντικό Βρετανό φωτογράφο Wolf Suschitzky. Ο φωτογράφος βρέθηκε στην Ελλάδα το 1960 και αποτύπωσε με το φακό του τον ελληνικό χώρο, τις ασχολίες και τις παραδόσεις που τον περιβάλλουν, λίγο πριν την αναπόφευκτη αλλοίωσή του. Οι φωτογραφίες αυτές αποτελούν συνεπώς, τόσο μια καταγραφή, όσο και μια νοσταλγική απεικόνιση μιας ξεχασμένης Ελλάδας. Η παρούσα έκθεση περιλαμβάνει 48 πρωτότυπες ασπρόμαυρες φωτογραφίες, τυπωμένες από τον ίδιο.

Εxhibition design and installation of the works, for the exhibition, Voyage in Greece in the 60’s. Photographer Wolf Suschitzky was in Greece in the ‘60s and has captured through his lens the Greek scenery, and the occupations and traditions surrounding it shortly before it was inevitably altered. Therefore, his photographs are not only a record but also a nostalgic impression of forsaken Greece. This exhibition comprises 48 original black-and-white photographs, all printed by Suschitzky himself.
